My father and I are embarking on a thousand-year-old journey from Roncesvalles (North-Eastern Spain) to Santiago (North-Western Spain). This journey is called The Camino de Santiago, or The Way of St. James. Thousands of pilgrims walk it every year, for many different reasons. My father is a devout Catholic, while I am more of an agnostic, hoping to rediscover my spiritual self. This is our story of what happens along the way.

COUNTDOWN
Only 2 days until we are on our way! I am starting to get nervous! I have been listening to a lot of Spanish but not speaking it to another human being. I have a fear that when i do my lips will get all tied up!
Bruce and Hailey, I will be praying for you daily as you launch out into the deep of this new adventure. Prayers = strength, stamina, epiphanies galore, and NO bedbugs or any other creepy crawlies! Safe travels, no blisters or broken bones, and God be with you both.

No need to be nervous, enjoy the quality time with your father, take pleasure in the breathtaking views you are sure to see, and have fun with the physical challenges that nature has to offer.
